Casco Bay Wealth Advisors CBWA Investing In The Community.
Casco Bay Wealth Advisors (CBWA) charitable giving program. The program is designed to financially assist local non-profit organizations selected by the partners of the firm. Each of the six partners will select one organization per year to receive a donation.

CBWA Investing In The Community has proudly made another donation to the American Lung Association (ALA)– Maine Chapter. Additionally, Leslie Couper of CBWA rides 180 miles each year in the Trek Across Maine to raise money for the ALA. Some of the many other ways the ALA is improving lung health are through research, fundraising walks around the country, education and training, and advocacy for healthy air, indoors and outdoors. http://www.lung.org/
February 2016 The Nature Conservancy currently manages more than 75 preserves throughout Maine, both on the coast and inland. The following list are some of the most popular and best-equipped areas for visitors: The Basin Preserve, Phippsburg; Berry Woods Preserve, Georgetown; Crockett Cove Woods, Deer Isle; Debsconeag Lakes Wilderness Area, Penobscot County; Great Wass Island Preserve, Beals; Indian Point Blagden Preserve, Trenton; Kennebunk Plains, Kennebunk; Lane's Island, off Vinalhaven; Saco Heath Preserve, Saco; Leuthold Forest Preserve; Tatnic Hills Preserve, Wells; Waterboro Barrens, Waterboro & Shapleigh; and Wells Barrens Preserve, Wells.

CBWA Investing In The Community has made a second contribution to the Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program (MCHPP). MCHPP has many community based programs to help those in need, including a food pantry, a soup kitchen, two programs focused on children during the school year and through the summer, a program working with the elderly, and a coalition to address food security. www.mchpp.org

              The mission of the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland (ARLGP) is to provide temporary care and shelter for stray, abandoned, confiscated and relinquished animals, and to place as many as possible into responsible and caring homes; to work to create awareness and support for the humane treatment of all animals; to end animal overpopulation through education and the promotion of spaying and neutering; to make end-of-life decisions based on safety and animal welfare considerations. http://www.arlgp.org/

              In February, 2008, Maine Huts & Trails began operations of its trail and hut system. It is now an award winning, world class destination, one that stimulates nature-based tourism in the region and engages people in healthy outdoor recreation in Western Maine’s backcountry. Since inception, MHT has built and maintained 80 miles of multi-use trails, constructed four remote environmentally sustainable eco-lodges, spurred economic growth of over $25 million mainly in Franklin and Somerset Counties in Maine, and become an educational resource for over 3,000 students, hosting elementary schools, colleges, and youth groups.               The mission at Fryeburg Rescue goes beyond emergency medical services. They feel it is crucial to be proactive and the importance of health and wellness is integral to that goal. In that vein, they started a bicycle helmet giveaway program more than 15 years ago with the goal of giving away free helmets to any toddler, child, or adult in need of a properly fitted, safe bicycle helmet. December 2014 Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program - MCHPP is a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to provide hungry people with access to healthy food, work to improve the quality of their lives by partnering with others, and serve them in a manner that recognizes their dignity. We provide food assistance to over 1,200 families in need each year. Our staff and 250 dedicated volunteers provide seven programs that ensure our clients receive food assistance as well as help building skills to live self-sufficient and healthy lifestyles.
